A Group 2nd February

My shiny new Christmas GPS gave me a bit of a surprise today, showing the distance from Cobham to Horsell as some 5800-odd miles, covered at an average speed of nearly 4000 mph. Hmm. However, subtracting the distance from its native Taiwan gave a more reasonable eleven miles; 27.1 miles Cobham to Cobham at 11.1 mph, which seems more plausible.

I must get round to reading the manual.

Wow Mark lets have more of that! Pam did say to Frank on the return canal leg what a pace he was setting as she managed to overtake everyone and catch Frank. Strange to meet the lady from Australia who was completely lost but Vic put her right, well done Vic! As for Pam thanks for a great day you really are a competent, thoughtfull and considerate Ride's Leader. Sorry I jumped ship at the end but Jeff and I chased after Ray and Jake as they turned right for Effingham Junct. Fetcham and Bookham. 49 brisk miles for me and plenty of climbing back to Walton via Leatherhead. Also apologies to Jake for not making the offroad MTB meet at the Rat at 9pm. After a long soak in the bath I stayed indoors with her indoors plus Ollie and Daisey!
