A day out in the Dolomites

This is supposed to be a walking holiday but it was Wednesday, a perfect day was forecast (unlike Surrey!!) so what better than giving Cheryl a day off relaxing in the sun while I hired a bike and rode the Sella Ronda. 53km, 4 passes, 1875m ascent and lunch in the sun at the top of the last pass.

Great to see that you have ridden the Sella Ronda. I didn't know that it was called that when I rode around it, anti-clockwise from Canazei, in 1985. It is one of the most memorable one-day rides I have ever done and there is a huge amount of spectacular riding to do around there. I didn't take many photos in the pre-digital era so I hope you have taken plenty to share with us.
