It was good to see Pat Mathews there but unfortunately she has been in the wars again as can be seen in a sling. On Saturday she ended up in hospital sustaining a broken left arm and severely bruised black left eye. Never the less she like most of us enjoyed the tea, cakes and large spread of sandwiches. Thanks to Mark's family for inviting us. A very touching speech was given by the lady Chaplain from Kingston Hospital. She said that she had met Mark at the hospital some 8 years ago and that he had become a very good friend. She remarked how wonderful he was visiting the hospital each week encouraging patients not to give up in despair after say a quadruple heart by-pas like he had had but to go home and take exerciser and be full of life like he was. Mark's daughter also commented that Ron used to regularly visit Mark and they got on well together.
Lynda mentioned that Paul you might like the photo's taken to use in next issue of Sou'Wester.
