On the way to Walton DC we avoided the track starting from Mill Road, Esher to Molesey Road as nobody was aware of what work had been done by the local council, so it was the long way round. Boosted with coffee we rode over Walton Bridge turned left into Walton Lane and left again into Russell Road as far as the roundabout. There we rode up Shepperton High Street, straight over at the traffic lights into Old Charlton Road and up to the helter-skelter bridge over the M3. It was then a matter of following our noses to the Goat at Upper Halliford. After lunch we took the Halliford Road into Sunbury and then went along the track that runs nearly parallel to Thames Street to join it after the narrow part. It was then a matter of going through Bushy Park and separating to go to our various homes. A short ride but we wanted to avoid the possibility of inclement weather.
