Easy Riders Aug 10th

Liz led the group from North Cheam to Walton Day Centre; then I led to lunch. We went down to the towpath, then along to Hampton Court. It was a lovely, sunny day and plenty to see along the way. We met Sonia at the end of the path, then continued over the bridge and down to the towpath towards Kingston. Here, some made their way home, and Beryl, Sonia, Roger, Malcolm, Tom, Allan, Bill M., Mark, Norman, Tim and myself went over Kingston bridge and back down to the towpath towards Ham and Teddington. We bumped into Gill who was doing a reconaitre of a later ride. We stopped at The Anglers for lunch. It was nice sitting outside and the service was good. We continued our ride through Teddington High Street and Bushey Park and stopped at Five on the Bridge for afternoon tea. Roger made his way home to Kingston and as it was still early, Beryl came back to Cheam with some of us and we had an ice cream in Nonsuch Park and walked around the gardens. I got home at 5.30pm and heard that the police were shutting up Cheam Village early tonight.

Lynda.
