Paul, Thanks a lot for your comments and Toni & I ended up in Wetherspoons Stains haveing double Lime & Lemon plus Ham Egg & Chips for £7.32 just to prove Bob Stairey's thoughts on the value of W'spoon!
On a more seriouse note we must all realise that Toni has a limited and defective vision of obstacles in front. I regret that I did not shout out "Cones" as I went to the RHS with my arm out indicating to any upcoming traffic from behind that we were moving into the "fast lane" Unfortunately Toni followed a wheel to the left of the cones into trouble! If I make a gentle and well meaning comment we should not have gone to the LHS of the cones, technically we were breaking the law (HA HA who am I to comment) but had the consequences have been more seriouse we may have had difficulty in claiming on CTC insurance. As it was 3 people came off which probably could have been avoided! With the best intentions in mind - shoot me if you must! Mike M. P.S. Both Toni and I commented on the way home maybe we should have gone with the "B" group as we both love the comapny of fit young and agile cyclists of the fairer gendre!
Alas, poor Yorick! The ground is freshly raked for burial, the headstone ready, the vultures circling - yet he is restored by a couple of paracetamol, and Fafner, disguised as a red and white road cone, is vanquished!
