A Group 25th November
A shortish ride through the outskirts of West London to lunch at the Whitehouse pub (Wetherspoons) Stockley park. After lunch a short ride to Hillingdon cycle circuit (http://hillingdoncyclecircuit.org.uk) for a few laps on the track. Afternoon tea will be at Tide Tables cafe Richmond.

Double trouble for me in Osterley Park. Firstly, a puncture, promptly fixed with the help of Geoff and Colin. Secondly, trying to re-insert the rear wheel and align the chain around the sprockets, the derailleur came off in my hand! - the retaining bolt holding the derailleur to the frame had sheared. With a zip tie holding the derailleur to the pannier rack I walked to Isleworth Station (thanks Hans), and by via train and tube managed to deposit the bike with Ben Thompson at my LBS in Southfields. Ben "had seen nothing like it". (I'm glad it came off when it did - mangling wheel and spokes with a loose derailleur when in motion would have been nasty). Home by 4.30pm.
