Sunday 6th December change of plan.

Undercover dining area

Heated open air dining area

                                                       Replacement for Citroen van

Thanks to Dave's early warning of possible Cheam and Morden's ride not happening I had a more leisurely breakfast, made up a 'spicy fruit loaf' mix, put it in the breadmaker and left home about ten with a reasonable looking sky.

En route to Tanhouse Farm I passed the South Down cafe (just south of the A25 towards Brockham) from which wonderful breakfast smells emerged. The Reading Rooms in Brockham were open, as was The Shop at Strood Green.

Arriving at Tanhouse I was very pleased to see the changes that have been made since my last visit. The Citroen van has been replaced by a smart wooden hut, if you wish you can sit at a table under cover and have overhead heaters cooking you, or sit in the open air and (on Saturdays and Sundays only) enjoy mulled wine and mince pies. The donkeys were out of sight but I did hear one calling out to us.
