The minutes set out some important changes to your Committee as follows.
Simon Lambourn was stepping down from both his roles as Membership Secretary and Treasurer and was duly thanked for his many years of service. Christina Berkley has already taken over as the Wayfarer Membership Secretary. Richard Bailey kindly agreed to stand for election as our new Treasurer and was duly elected.
Ged Lawrenson advised that he was standing down as Rides Secretary this year and thanked Clive Janes who had volunteered to progressively take over that role over the coming months. Our thanks again to both Ged and Clive for undertaking this vital role. The Rides Secretary mantra remains more leaders please, without whom there would not be any rides, and please respond promptly to the periodic invitations to volunteer.
Finally, Bob Eberhard was awarded the Arthur Jessop Shield for outstanding contribution to the club. Bob's long-term commitment to our club and to cycling in general are set out in more detail in the minutes.
