B Group - 6th February

We all assembled at The British Legion, Cobham. The weather looked threatening but was generally dry. There was a cold blustery wind. Never-the-less after drop-outs because of prior business commitments, bicycle mal-functions and other excuses, fourteen brave souls set out for Chilworth via Plough Lane, Hungry Hill, Staples Lane etc to Ockham, East Clandon, and Albury (13 miles). At Chilworth, lunches and drinks were served by cheerful and efficient staff at the Percy Arms. After lunch when there was a bleak cold wind blowing and the sky looked somewhat over cast, the party of cyclists set off on a route via Chilworth Manor (which involved getting up some steep and gritty hills) eventually coming out on the A246. After that we followed a familiar route via East Horsley, Effingham Junction back to Cobham where there was a stop for tea.
