After coffee at Cobham, Lynda lead us to the Watermill for lunch (it is on the A25, left at the end of Pixham Lane). A very hot day, with only a couple of sun brollies on the gorgeous terrace overlooking Box Hill. Alas, the landlord informed us, the rest had been nicked the previous weekend (and apparently the same thing had happened last year...). We grabbed the last shady corner table and gradually moved round so everyone was comfortable.
At the end of lunch someone (was it Helen?) jokingly suggested the ZigZag route home, Don and Maureen were up for it so away the three of us went. Don of course sailed it on his electric bike, and Maureen has been doing the back route up Box Hill this year to build her fitness, so they both had a nice rest at the top while Helen took her time. A nice Aussie lady took our photo with the view - I think you can just see the Watermill over our shoulders between Don and me!
