I heard a rumour that Henfold Lake cafe may at last be open, so I called in today.
Unfortunately it's still work in progress; the guy at the refreshment stall said it may be open by Xmas.
Fortunately the refreshmant stall is very welcoming, and they say they are staying open until 4 -5 pm weather permitting (except Wednesdays when it's 1pm!), This afternoon the tea and fruit cake were just what I needed on a damp ride.
