It is alright for some. In my house, the North wind doth blow and the kitchen is a 'no go' area. However, at the end of the garden I do have a 1940's Morrison air-raid shelter, the entrance to which does provide a beautiful bonfire pit. The overhanging leaves of the magnolia grandifloria protect from most of the snow. Despite the smoke, it is perfect for a bit of quiet bicycle maintenance or quiet reflection as I leaf through the pages of 'The Waste Land' and count my blessings.

Perhaps we should all put photos of our bike maintenance areas. Perhaps another category for the photo competition?
