Easy Riders - 30th October

Nine of us left Weybridge with no absolute certainty where we would end up as the leader makes a lot up as we cycle along. We made our way through Addlestone, turned left after crossing the M25 and down the hill to Woodham. We passed Bourne Nurseries but, instead of following the road up hill, we went straight ahead onto one of Vic White's tracks which caused consternation among some riders as they thought that we were going into somebody's garden.

On reaching Woodham Lane we turned right along to the roundabout where we turned left onto Sheerwater Road, left at the next roundabout and soon right onto Coldharbour Road towards Ripley. On seeing a sign at the bottom of the hill in Newark Lane informing us that the Seven Stars pub was open the leader decided that would be the lunch stop.

After lunch we found the road was closed into Ripley so we ventured across Ripley Common to come out further north along Portsmouth Road where we turned left up to the roundabout and then onto Ockham Road North to Ockham and Martyr's Green. We then made our way to Downside and Bookham Common where we came across some cheerful souls from the B group. Tea was at the Moat on the outskirts of Epsom. It was a longer ride than we normally achieve but well within the capabilities of the riders.
