Peter Tiller has died

Peter on his first ride with Wayfarers

We have heard some very sad news from Ray Wren, that Peter Tiller has died (Tuesday 11th June). Ray received a call from Peter's wife Pam on Wednesday morning to tell him and ask him to let us know.

Peter has cycled with our Wayfarers groups since 2010. In recent years he became seriously ill but continued to turn up to ride with the Easy Riders whenever he was able to, including numerous rides this year.

Our thoughts are with Pam and their family.

Very sad news. Peter was our Auditor (for Sou'Westers and Cheam & Morden) until last year, when he retired. He gave me tremendous support and advice as Treasurer and never wanted any public thanks (one year he said he would refuse to sign the accounts if I thanked him in my report), but most of all I'll remember his friendship and his positive attitude.

A very kind and friendly man always ready to chat . I was very sad to hear the news.I remember when he first led a B ride and coming down from the As set off at a pace not noticing the lack of followers. Very funny .
