Next week’s ride from Fairoaks Airport takes us again northwards to leafy Bucks. But with different lanes and gentler hills.
The Hanger Café at Fairoaks is ready to welcome us, but remember that service can be slow, so a 15 minute queue is quite possible.
Lunch is at the Royal Standard at Wooburn Green, recommended by CAMRA, and last visited in 2019. About 23 miles.
Tea at Shepperton Nauticalia, about 24 miles, where if we are lucky we may enjoy an uninterrupted alfresco tea.
All on road or properly surfaced paths. But remember that dappled sunlight can hide all manner of potholes and gravel.
