Nor'westers, 27th Sept

Redhill is not an 11's for us Northerners nowadays.

So a group of 10 met at the Pheasantry, all prepared for the expected rain. We headed West to Virginia Water and turned left heading down towards Longcross and passed the studio's, then heading down to Chobham.

The hills were now over and it was just a few more miles to lunch at the Horsell kitchen, I had booked a table which was all laid out an waiting for us.

Everyone seated and enjoying the food and very quick service, Ray having his dessert first. Plenty of banter, but the time soon went and we prepared for departure. The owner asked if we could lineup for a photo for their Instagram page, we duly obliged.

Heading back through Woking and West Byfleet, avoiding the canal, we headed to Walton Marina for tea. At this point 5 head east and for home. It was around 20 miles to lunch but only around 12 to tea. After tea we all heafed our own ways home, and..... No rain.

A Lovely day on the bike with very nice crowd, many thanks to all and an especial thanks to Mr Hooker for back marking.

Tony..
