First week of the month so it must be Cobham, I will describe the route I am intending to take so that those who may live on it or wish to make their own way to Tolworth can do so or decide to stay in bed a bit longer, have a leisurely breakfast, maybe do some housework before setting out to be at lunch for 12.30.
The route I intend to take will be over the humps to Esher, turn left to go down Lammas Lane towards Hersham then straight on at the firstroundabout to turn right at the 2nd roundabout towards Ashley Park, immediately turning right into Station Road, then straight across into Rydens Road. At Molesley Road we turn left and then right into Island Farm Road straight on into Molesey Park Road, Bell Road then a left and right into Walton Road and into Bridge Road which then takes us on to Hampton Court Bridge.
The next stage will take us into Bushey Park, once past the fountain we will take a path on the right to Hampton Wick Gate, out of this to head towards Kingston Bridge, over the bridge to turn right into Kingston Market, through to the new cycle path and along as far as Brighton Road (Laithwaites Wines) turning left here then straight over the top taking the second exit into Ewell Road and down to our lunch stop in Tolworth.
The distance is approximately 16 miles so could be about 1hour 30.
I hope that those who read the directions will be able to judge if they wish to join the As at Cobham or head straight to Tolworth.
If the weather is bad we may well take the shortest way I know, Esher - Scilly Isles - Portmouth Road - Brighton Road then turning right at Laithwaites, lets hope that this is not the case. Looking at the weather forecast as of today (Monday) we may need wet weather clothing after lunch.
