After
the well run AGM at Hersham we turned right along Queens Road along to
the safer roundabout and took the back roads to join Molesey Road just
behind the B group. Unlike them we turned right into Fieldcommon Lane
and followed the track to join Island Farm Road. We turned right into
Field Close and followed the track by the River Ember to eventually come
out into Orchard Lane. This track was completely new to the other
riders and I could almost feel the thoughts behind me: "where is he
taking us now?". Afterwards at Ye Olde Swan in Thames Ditton there were
thanks all round for an enjoyable "new" route. After lunch all of us
were unsure of the weather and so trundled off to the safer harbours of
our homes.
