Chilly but comfortable best describe todays conditions. 16 riders left Redhill Methodist Centre tackling the short but steepish way out of Redhill through quiet lanes along a peaceful Bones Lane with it’s Plaque at the place where the Southern most runway used to cross the road back in 1943 when the area was an airfield prior to the start of D-Day. A very pleasant lunch at The Wire Mill New Chapel, good cheerful service and large thick sandwiches & soup kept everbody happy. More lanes via Lonesome Lane to tea at The Reigate Garden Centre. Homewards past the half rebuilt mill, up Pebblecombe noteing on Headley Heath the lack of the old Café Shack as the presant mobile trailer was being towed on it’s homeward journey.
