If you're looking for a bit of a tour for this summer, this may be it: the North Coast 500. A bloke from GCN rode it with a mate called Mark Beaumont, in three days. Half an hour of pure viewing pleasure: highly recommended.
Ged, Dave B, Mike B and I did it a few years back, in about the same number of days, if my memory serves me correctly.
