Our ride from Cobham will be heading up into the hills, first Green Dene then through Shere and up to Farley Green and beyond to Winterfold Heath where we can pause to admire Jelleys Hollow. Quite undulating in fact, 19.4 miles, 2hrs 30mins or a little more.
Lunch will be at The Compasses Inn in Gomshall. We should park our bikes in the garen/dining area where they won't be in the way of other customers. We are not required to pre-order but if you wish to do some homework the Main and Lighter Meals menus can be viewed on their website.
After lunch we will scoot along the A25 for 3.5 miles to Balchins Lane to join Route 22 into Dorking. Thence to Leatherhead and Ashtead for Tea at Handleys Café. Individuals wanting a more mountainous route to Tea will be welcome to leave the official rides near Rykas and be ready to greet the rest of us at Handleys when we catch up.
Please notify me by email (or PRIVATE WhatsApp message) if you intend to come and mention any preference for an early or later departure. Departure times are expected to be 10:30, 10:40 and 10:50.
