To the End of the Line (not 'I Walk the Line')
We will meet for this ride at The Effingham Vineries garden centre. We are expecting to run four groups, with a fifth leader on standby for a possibility of more than 24 riders. The first group will depart at 10:30 and the others at 15 minute intervals.
The route includes a couple of very nice hills in the first half of the morning ride (18.9 miles) and will involve several fairly easy off-road stretches. Please ride carefully and not too close to other riders, especially on the tricky bits.
Our Lunch stop will be a picnic in the Castle grounds OR in The Kings Head pub (Quarry Street) next to the Castle in Guildford town centre. If possible would pub diners please email me with your selections from the pub menu as requested by the landlord. Also, if possible, confirm to me on the day if you are eating in the pub as the landlord needs to be notified in advance.
The pub appears to have a couple of set price menus but the main menu can be seen here.
The Tea stop will be at the Prince of Wales, West End Lane in Esher where tea and coffee, and other refreshments can be enjoyed in their outside garden.

Choose your preferred map type and zoom in and out to see the details of these routes. From these screens you should be able to export the routes in GPX or TCX format if you want to load them into phone or other gadget but write to Tim C if this doesn't work and you need him to email them to you.
Write to me tonyhooker1@aol.com to let me know that you are coming and whether you will be having a picnic or a pub meal.
Looking forward to your replies and to seeing you on Wednesday.
