B Ride to Windsor

Many thanks for the interesting tales already on our blog.  All those hills!! Our route was the opposite end of the 'hilly scale'...zero!!

Liz and myself enjoyed a 'more or less' circular ride to Windsor. After meeting at Walton Bridge we continued via Chertsey, Runnymede and Datchet. We did a wee tour around the town, just to note the difference in traffic and people during lockdown! Far less of each than on Saturday!

Liz hadn't been to the Cinnamon Cafe so it was an absolute must to stop there for a coffee and a bun where we met Ruth and Nial from the Friday group.

Our return was via Eton, Datchet, Wraysbury and Staines, taking the river road to Chertsey bridge, finishing at Shepperton Lock. ......meeting, per chance, Ruth and Nial once again!  Liz and I live an equal distance from the Lock so our rides were pretty much the same in distance, 40+ miles.

We did have some excitement, Neil C rushed across the road at Staines with arms extended...then we realized we couldn't have our usual hug, such a shame!!!
