Michael Bedford (Dieppe Raid)

Sad news from Caroline Street on the Dieppe Raid facebook page:

It is with great sadness that I am advising that Michael Bedford passed away on 12th November following a short illness. Michael and Mo are probably best known over recent years for helping with the event registration in Dieppe. However, they had been regular participants for many years, initially as cycling participants but, more recently, joining the walk with Jean-Claude and organising the Sunday evening meal for many years.

Michael was always cheery with a dry sense of humour. Our thoughts are with his wife, Mo, at this sad time.

Many will remember Michael and Mo checking us in for the ride, and in earlier years welcoming us to the evening meal after the ride.   Michael always had a twinkle in his eye, and he was very helpful to us when we took over the organisation of the evening meal at Dieppe.
