You might think that the rebuilding of Junction 10 ( M25/A3) at Wisley is nothing to do with us but we have our place - as NMUs. Non Motorised Users. Last Tuesday as a relaxing break from TriVets preparation I attended a virtual presentation on how this will affect us.
The good news is that there is a plan to completely replace the dreadful path along the A3, the even worse crossings of the slip roads at J10 and the Elm Corner bridge. Elm Corner will be accessed from Old Lane ( upgrading the very muddy track).
There will be a new access to Wisley Lane from the Ockham roundabout with a 2m cycleway and separate horse track. A similar standard path will lead all the way to Painshill with four new bridges over the M25/A3 to create a full circle connecting with Old Lane, Pointers Road etc. Work starts this September.
There is a mobile exhibition unit at various locations w/c 26th June - see link for more

There was less clarity about what happens in the meantime and short term path closures. However the Wisley bridge will be built first before the existing bridge is removed. Completion Autumn 2023 is the target for that. 2025 for the whole project.
There are plans to set up a NMU forum but it's not clear who will be on it. I will be writing to CUK on this. I was not aware of any presence from them on Tuesday.
