As Brockham is a fair distance to cycle before doing a long ride, those of us who live Northwest of the SWLCTC catchment area decided to do our own Tri-vets. So I planned a 100k route and four of us met a 9.00 am at Nauticailia to venture forth. Our 11's was Dorney court GC, 15 miles, reached in good time. Lunch was at Dinton Pastures country park, 30 miles, and we sat in the shade as the Sun was too hot. Thirty miles reached we headed again on lovely country lanes to our tea stop at Dedworth, 45 miles, Iced coffee's now, the last 15 miles ahead.
We reached Shepperton in a shade under 61 miles and into a pub for a quick glass of wine, then 7 miles home and out to dinner. A great day on the bike and 73.7 miles for me. Well done to those who did the event, Chapeau, Gill, Liz and Ray Y.
