A Group ride from Redhill on 17 June

The A Group ride on 17 June will be from Redhill via Outwood to Kenley Airfield (lunch) and finish in Oaks Park.

We will be riding in groups of maximum 6 to comply with government regulations. Pre-booking your place is essential, and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please email me at d.vine207@btinternet.com to reserve your place, and by Monday 15 June at the latest.

Mark Gladwyn and Steve Duffin will be sharing the leading with me, and I will be allocating riders to leaders when I know the number signed up.

Riders should come with a packed lunch and hand-sanitizer and should also follow Wayfarer instructions for safe and legal riding in groups, which can be found here.

Our proposed route can be seen and downloaded here

We will meet at Pistachio’s in Redhill Memorial Park on the London Road, RH1 1JU; https://goo.gl/maps/mXbWcnB9DRfwBUz36 is the Google Map reference.  OS ref is TQ 281509.  Please meet me at Pistachio’s ready to roll.

Sainsbury’s, opposite the park, has ample bike racks and toilets, and hopefully no queues. There are no further “official” toilets open until end of the ride.

Lunch will be at Kenley Airfield where there is plenty of space, as far as I can tell no seats, but adequate country-style facilities.

The weather is forecast to be changeable so we will choose a shorter or longer ride to Oaks Park for tea, where you may be relieved to find a toilet, failing which we may choose the Lavender Farm opposite. There may be some non-technical gravel.

I am looking forward to receiving your booking at d.vine207@btinternet.com.
