We were sad to learn today that Mike Withers passed away on Saturday morning. Mike was a club member for many years and will be missed by all who knew and cycled with him. Recently he didn't ride with us but often turned up for Elevenses at the RBL in Cobham when that was still possible. Thanks to Steph for letting us know.

How very sad. I saw Mike a couple of times during lockdown when he was out on his bike in Effingham and once stopped to have quite a long chat. I got the impression that he was still going out regularly then. He continued to occasionally lead the Easy Riders well into his 80s and the last record I have of him leading was in March 2015 though by then he was very slow. As Rides Secretary I was always very glad of his willingness to take his turn.
