Two riders left Worcester Park (keeping four bikes distance apart) bound for Osterley Park. The route took us through Kingston and Twickenham.
Osterley Park had just re-opened for cyclists, the route through the park was all marked out with white lines and arrows pointing in the direction of travel, also two metre distant markers every so often.
The Café was closed but the re-furbed WCs were open (phew!)
We picked up the tow path of the Grand Union Canal and cycled down to Brentford, then through Syon Park. All the facilities were closed but many people were sun bathing 🌞
We checked out the blue plaques to the Martyrs and found one in the park (re Ged).
We then followed the river to Richmond were we stopped to buy refreshments at Rich Cafe next to Richmond Bridge [435 Richmond Rd], continuing on to Cambridge Recreation Ground where we ate our lunch and then found that the café in the grounds was actually open.
Finding Richmond Park was still closed to cyclists 🚴♀ we had to cycle around the perimeter to Roehampton and onto Wimbledon Common for an ice-cream stop at the cafe where we bumped into Tim Court it was nice to see after all these weeks and he hadn’t aged a bit!
Finally going home through the new cycle way [C31] to New Malden
Thanks to Grant for BACK MARKING 😂
