Goodbye to a trusty old steed

In response to the ad posted in this blog (May 5th) for Les Johnston's 1951 Gillott a friend of Pam's from the V-CC has purchased the bike. He also gave Barbara a 'lovely bunch of flowers', spent quite a while mounting the old bike on the back of his tandem and rode off. A very competent engineer apparently, he is looking forward to restoring the bike to its former glory.
